WHAT WE TREAT

Physiotherapy helps people of all ages with a wide range of health conditions. Whether you're looking to address an issuse with a specific pain  or improve your overall strength and function, we'll work with you to create a tailored programme that gets results.

Back Pain

NECK, BACK AND HEADACHES

Due to increased working from home and our generally sedentary lifestyles, most of us have experienced pain and stiffness in our neck and back, including a disc injury or even suffered headaches. These areas respond very well to physiotherapy, including manual therapy, acupuncture, cupping and core strengthening. Working on specific exercises and posture can help prevent them from ever returning.

LOWER AND
UPPER LIMB

Physiotherapy effectively treats both pain in the lower limb (hip, knee, ankle, and foot) and in the upper limb (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand). Understanding the nature of the condition is crucial for a quick recovery; pain can come from a local muscle, ligament, tendon, poor muscle control, an inflammatory condition, or overuse. A full assessment is vital, manual therapy, and a graded exercise programme with improved muscle control to fully heal from your injury. Continuing to use the limb to maintain activity in a pain-free way is essential to maintain fitness and muscle conditioning.

SPORTING INJURIES

Being very keen on sports myself, I understand the importance of performing within your sport, whether competing for your country, playing sport socially or just going on a run. My passion is working out the complex movement and muscle patterns required for each sport. Endurance runners, cross-fitters, tennis players, cheerleaders & gymnasts and cyclists tend to be the people I see most frequently.

HYPERMOBILITY, ARTHRITIS AND COMPLEX CONDITIONS

Having joint hypermobility myself (and all the unexplained aches and pains that come with it) means I have a unique understanding of how frustrating this condition can be. Due to my 22 years experience, there are very few things I have not seen, in fact, I find I see many people who have not been helped by anyone else and are now finding relief. I enjoy the complexity and get great satisfaction from enabling people to live their lives to the fullest in a pain-free way.

NEURO AND ELDERLY REHABILITATION

Our physios are highly knowledgeable about all neurological conditions, including strokes, MS and Parkinson’s. Skilled physiotherapy can increase your independence, decrease your risk of falling, improve your muscle strength, regain your balance and restore your confidence to improve your quality of life.

Leg Injury

SURGERY AND FRACTURES

Physiotherapy is extremely helpful in guiding people through their post-operative and post-fracture journeys. As these can be very traumatic, an experienced hand is required with excellent rehabilitation skills to get you back to your previous self as soon as possible. Prehabilitation before elective surgery is an excellent way of ensuring you get the best result. Making sure your muscles are strong before the operation means they are stronger after the procedure to aid a smoother journey into rehabilitation.

Headache

MIGRAINES

Up to 1 in 5 of us, mainly women, suffer from this debilitating condition. Although the causes are not fully understood, many respond very well to physiotherapy, including manual therapy and acupuncture.

Pregnant belly

PREGNANCY AND POST-PARTUM

Pregnancy pelvic pain can be debilitating, both when you have your bump and post-partum. Physiotherapy can really help get you back to your everyday life, with soft tissue work, core exercises and Pilates.
